Kim will be demystifying bread baking by simplifying and explaining things that commonly overwhelm people new to baking. Topics that will be covered include:

Understanding wheat flours and protein percentages

What’s gluten and why should I care?

Gluten-free diets, what’s up?

Bleached versus un-bleached wheat flour

Different types of yeast

Starters, fermentation, and proofing

Home break-making supplies

Demonstrations and hands-on practice: scaling receipts, mixing ingredients, and kneading

As always, Kim will answer your questions before, during, or after the class.

Full recipes and additional information will be provided to each participant to take home. 

Cost is $50.
